CIVIL DEPARTMENT


The Department of Civil Engineering was established in the academic year 2010-2011. The department plays a leading role in evolving an "Latest Technology with Engineering Science" based curriculum. The faculty members are highly qualified and specialized in the fields of Structural engineering, Construction engineering, Soil Mechanics and Foundation Engineering. The civil engineering students learn to innovative technology to prove the real world that challenges and solve real problems through their individual knowledge.

Civil engineering is a professional engineering discipline that deals with the design, construction, and maintenance of the physical and naturally built environment, including works like roads, bridges, canals, dams, and buildings.

Department Objectives

The department of Civil Engineering aims to produce the engineer's with the abilities:

  1. Structural Engineering is concerned with Design and Analysis of Buildings, Bridges, Towers, Flyovers, Tunnels, etc.
  2. The Structural Engineer must Design the structures to be Safe for their users and to Successfully fulfill the function they are designed for Serviceable.
  3. Design considerations will include Strength, Stiffness, and Stability of the Structure.
  4. Other considerations include Cost, Constructability, Safety, Aesthetics and Sustainability.
