The Department of Civil Engineering aims to produce the engineers with the abilities:

Design considerations will include Strength, Stiffness, and Stability of the Structure.
Other considerations include Cost, Constructability, Safety, Aesthetics and Sustainability.
Structural Engineering is concerned with Design and Analysis of Buildings, Bridges, Towers, Flyovers, Tunnels, etc.
The Structural Engineer must Design the structures to be Safe for their users and to Successfully fulfill the function they are designed for Serviceable.

The Civil Engineering department of NSCET has the state of art facilities equipped with latest instruments, equipment, and software for imparting technical knowledge on par with international requirements. To develop responsible savvy professional techno-managers, the department also offers a PG program in M.E.Structural Engineering with an intake of 18 students. Experienced and well-qualified faculty members, well-equipped laboratories and workshops are the strengths of this department. Advanced licensed software includes Autocad, Primavera, MS-project, StaadPro, ANSYS, and REVIT are available to students to take up real time projects. The consultancy cell of this department is active in testing the quality of materials like concrete, brick, soil, water, bitumen, aggregates and steel reinforcement.
